Winson Wong is a conductor, violinist, and pianist. Wong started learning the piano at the age of 4 and picked up the violin at 10. He was formerly the violin principal of the string orchestra and the associate concertmaster of the symphony orchestra when he was studying at Pui Ching Primary School and Pui Ching Middle School. Wong has had over 10 years of experience in various orchestras.

With a passion for music during high school, he learned to play the viola under the encouragement of conductor Mr. Wu Chung Fan and was guided into the realm of conducting by conductor Mr. Kelvin Ngai. Wong continues to refine conducting arts under the teaching of French maestro Philippe Fournier, music director of the Orchestre Symphonique Confluences and professor at Ecole Normale de Musicque de Paris. He was also guided by French maestra Zahia Ziouani during the French May Festival of Hong Kong.

Wong was also the president and student conductor of the PolyU SAOPhil. He conducted the Joint University Performance 2022 and led the PolyU SAOPhil through its 19th Season. Wong was also a violinist in the PolyU Orchestra and was appointed as the pianist performing the theme song of PolyU’s 85th Anniversary under the baton of Mr. Leung Kin Fung. Wong is a co-founder of Amicis Sinfonia and supervises the Division of Finance of the orchestra.
